WHAT TO EXPECT
AMGA CERTIFIED guides
AMGA Certified Climbing Guides will take our group for a full day of guided climbing instruction (includes all the gear you will need – harness, helmet, climbing shoes).

6:00PM – Dinner/campfire and s’mores – Meet & greet
8:00AM – Leave campground to climb
9:00AM – 4:30PM – Pair up with climbers and guides for a full day of guided climbing instruction
6:00PM – ? – Dinner, Karaoke, Giveaways!
8:00AM – Leave campground to climb
9:00AM – 2:00PM – Use what you learned for a half day of climbing
3:00PM – Take group photos and say our goodbyes till next time!
CAMPOUT QUESTIONS
We’ll be providing a delicious Saturday night dinner which will include gourmet pizza, salad, and garlic breadsticks from Pie for the People. Morning climber’s coffee will be provided as well as nightly s’mores snacks.
Register before July 1, 2023 and join the Joshua Tree Campout for $249.00.
After July 1, 2023, prices go to $299.00
No, the entrance fee is not included. The price to enter Joshua Tree National Park is $30 per vehicle so we will be encouraging and coordinating carpools from the campground.
Yes, this is a 21+ campout event.
Our AMGA Certified guides will have helmets, harnesses, climbing shoes, and belay devices for use. We do encourage all campout attendees to bring their own climbing equipment as well.
Yes, you will need to come to the campout with your own camping equipment. Please bring a tent, sleeping bag and pad, and cooking equipment and utensils. If you do not have equipment, let us know so we can make sure to coordinate rentals for your use.
We’ll be enjoying a delicious Saturday night dinner provided by a local favorite, Pie for the People. We’ll also provide morning coffee and nightly s’mores.
Absolutely! This is non-negotiable…ok, well maybe some negotiations can get you out of enjoying your wonderful vocals…no promises.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed for this event.
If you need to cancel your event with Camp Bum, you are eligible for a refund, minus processing fees, if a cancellation request is submitted prior to 15 days before your scheduled event(s). Any cancellation requests submitted within 5 to 15 days of a scheduled event will be refunded the full amount minus 50% of the overall booking cost to cover losses. Any cancellation requests submitted within 5 days of the scheduled event are not eligible for refund. To submit a cancellation request please send an email.
Yes, we, and the guides we work with, follow the COVID-19 Operating Procedures and Guidelines outlined below:

We follow all National and State Park regulations put in place by permit administrators.

Initially, all Guides will be required to wear a mask when guiding for us no matter the group size. Masks may be removed by the Guide only when climbing and more than 6 feet away from our guests. Each of our permit administrators have group size restrictions we will abide by.

It’s recommended that all guests wear a mask when climbing with any of our Guides. However, this will be up to the discretion of our guests and our Guides and is not a requirement.

All Guides will be required to carry hand sanitizers and use them throughout the course of any guided outing as needed.

All Guides will be required to wear closed-tip gloves when operating in the field.

All rental equipment will be wiped down with alcohol wipes after every guided outing.

All rental equipment will be rotated and stored for 72 hours between bookings unless travel by our guides is involved and storage is not possible.

No Guide will be cleared to work if any COVID-19 symptoms have been detected before a scheduled outing.

Our guides reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any guided outing if COVID-19 symptoms have been detected with any guests that have an upcoming booking with us.

All guests will be required to fill out a COVID-19 questionnaire at the time of their booking.
